3 5/8” tall COVERED MUSTARD in BAROQUE pattern by FOSTORIA GLASS. This mustard would be stunning on white linen.
This piece is
IRRADIATED COLOR
achieved from exposure to high intensity commercial UV light. Clear glass that contains manganese (glass clarifying chemical) will turn purple when exposed to natural direct sunlight. Using commercial UV light speeds up a natural process that would take many years in natural sunlight and probably never get this dark.
This glass is perfectly safe to use, the color is permanent, and will not change.
This glass is a pressed glass (made in a mold) and like any pressed glass may have mold marks/straw marks tiny bubbles, etc.
The
condition is very good
no chips, no cracks and no cloudiness just some light use scratches.
